Health Walks

To help new walkers become more active, a team of trained volunteers will lead them on safe walks to improve their fitness. Walking regularly with a group not only improves physical and mental health, it introduces a whole new circle of potential friends to walk with!

Whatever your level of fitness, health walks can help you step out on the road to regular, healthy activity.

There are health walks available in the following locations:
  • Elgin
  • Lossiemouth
  • Forres
  • Buckie
  • Dufftown
  • Rothes
The first few weeks will start with a gentle 15-30 minute walk at a pace suited to new walkers, and gradually as the weeks progress, the walks will become a little longer and more varied, but still at a comfortable pace.  By the end of the twelve week programme, group walkers will have the confidence and knowledge of good local, safe and interesting walks to be able to carry on walking either independently or with friends they have made.
