A big thank you from the Give Kids a Chance charity
Grampian based project, Give Kids a Chance, has received the grand total of £7,309.46 as a result of christmas fundraising by supporters across Aberdeen. Over the festive period, staff from various companies held raffles, baked cakes, organised concerts and gave donations instead of sending cards. Champion fundraisers were Talisman Energy (UK) Limited who raised the staggering amount of £2,783, followed by Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Limited who raised £1,976 and Sparrows Offshore who raised £868.
Give Kids a Chance Project Manager, Heather Wilson said "We are indebted to everyone who supported the project over the festive period, and helped us raise much needed funds for the activity programme on offer to young people during 2010. We send our thanks to everyone who participated, but especially to those who took a lead role in co-ordinating these events in their workplace."
