What we are
The Occupational Health Service offers a wide range of clinical and managerial skills to support employees and managers in achieving a healthy, productive and effective workplace. We also deliver services to the public in Grampian and support the wider health initiatives to improve the wellbeing of the population of Grampian. If you want more information than you can find on these pages, we also have a Department Leaflet you may find useful.

Locations:
We are based at the Foresterhill Lea building (Map located here) but also hold clinics at various sites across Grampian including Elgin. Interactive Maps to our external sites can be  found on the 'Location' page.

What We Do

The NHS Grampian Occupational Health Service provides a wide range of services including:

  • Occupational Health
  • Pre-employment health screening
  • Health surveillance
  •  Immunisation and screening programmes
  • Health assessments (e.g. night workers)

First Aid training

  • Initial and refresher courses delivered throughout Grampian

Housing and Disability Assessments

  • In partnership with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils

Teaching and Research

  • We are a teaching and training department with links to the University of Aberdeen

External Contract Activity

  • We work with external organisations including the University of Aberdeen and Scottish Ambulance Service. We can also support small and medium sized enterprises

Confidentiality
Only Occupational Health staff have access to your Occupational Health Records. These records are held securely and are entirely separate from any hospital records or personnel records. Staff are ethically and professionally bound not to release any information without the informed consent of the individual, and are bound by professional codes of conduct to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
Any information disclosed on your health declaration form is kept confidential within the Occupational Health Department
