Swine Flu is also known as Influenza A (H1N1).


Influenza A (H1N1) Information & Advice


A UK Information Line has been set up that provides regularly updated recorded information about Influenza A (H1N1).  This service is available by calling 0800 1 513 513 (operated by the UK Department of Health).
 
Information and advice is also available from NHS 24.  Callers to NHS 24 - 08454 24 24 24 - will be given the option of being put straight through to a dedicated team who are dealing with Influenza A (H1N1).   This team will be able to provide information about Influenza A (H1N1) and offer advice to anyone who has any concerns.


If you have started to develop flu-like symptoms, you should stay at home and either call your GP or contact NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24.  They will listen to your concerns and advise you what to do next. 

Please do not go straight to your GP practice, your local pharmacy or A&E.
